Gift Cards - default to not a gift

Not sure if any one else has experienced this but it seems like there is an issue with 70% of our gift card purchases, the e-card never gets delivered, the customer didn't put in the recipient information. We need the ability to go into an order and send the card to right address without having to contact support. Another thing we noticed is when you add a gift card to the cart it automatically defaults to 'Not a gift" in the cart so the customer then has to select gift to add the recipient information. This should be fixed and must have something to do with the emails not going through correctly.
